SHILLONG, Nov 29: The BSF intelligence deployed at West Garo Hills (WGH) district of Meghalaya apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals at Barengapara bus stand under Dalu, while they were trying to exfiltrate from India to Bangladesh.
The apprehended Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Md Saddiq (26) from Sherpur district and Momin Miya (22) from Gazipur district in Bangladesh.
During search, BSF recovered two mobile phones with two Indian and five Bangladeshi SIM, one headphone, two charger, Rs. 1,630 and some BD Taka from their possession. They were also having fake Indian PAN card while one of them was also in possession of a fake Aadhaar card.
Besides above, the BSF troops have also seized one bicycle, 67 cattle, 784 bottles of liquor, 1,400 Kgs of coal, 411 subic feet of wood, 14 wooden boats and other contraband items worth more than Rs 29 Lakh, while being smuggled out from India to Bangladesh on the Meghalaya border during the last fortnight.
